I was talking with one of my friends the other day who is a professional natural healer. She is expecting her first baby and planning to deliver naturally. One of her big concerns was that she felt like she had to have the “perfect birth” in order to counsel other moms who wanted to have a natural birth.
I could relate to what she was saying. When I first decided to share Adventures in Wisdom™ with other parents, I was a bit concerned that people would look at my kids with a judgmental eye – expecting them to be perfect. I didn’t want to put my kids or myself in that position.
But then I realized that that didn’t make sense. All of life is a journey – there will be ups and downs. And there are a lot of things that are outside of our control.
